How to Play Wordmeister

Who Starts the Game?

The game begins with each player being randomly assigned a letter. The player with the letter that appears first alphabetically takes the first turn.

Form Words and Earn Points

To score points, place your letters on the board to create words. Words must consist of at least two characters, and each letter has a designated score. Generally, the more complex letters have higher point values. All words that are found in the official Scrabble dictionary are valid in Wordmeister. The game ends either when there are no tiles remaining or when neither player can form a word.

Bonuses for Words and Letters

Throughout the board, you’ll notice various colored squares that offer different point bonuses:

• Blue = Doubles the value of the letter placed on it.
• Green = Triples the value of the letter placed on it.
• Orange = Doubles the value of the entire word.
• Red = Triples the value of the entire word.

If you find yourself unable to think of a word, you have a few options. You can swap out as many letters as you like for new ones, skip your turn, or shuffle your letters to spark some fresh ideas.
